Members of the JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net visited Penerbit UTM Press at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. This was the first visit following the transfer in ownership of the ASEAN Engineering Journal (AEJ).
Assoc. Prof. Ahmad Jusoh, Director of Penerbit UTM Press and Prof. Norhazilan Md Noor, Chief Editor, opened the meeting.
Prof. Norhazilan provided an update on the status of the AEJ following the smooth transfer of ownership.
The journal operates through the OJS system with support from Section Editors in each field. All papers transferred from AUN/SEED-Net have been completed to the review step.
The report on new submissions is going well with a diversity of papers from Member Institutions both inside and outside the network, as well as authors from outside ASEAN.
Finally, the JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net is immensely grateful to Penerbit UTM Press for taking over ownership of the AEJ and continuing with the project legacy.
