
The 2nd batch of the intensive Management of Technology (MOT) training for Japanese Fiscal Year (JFY) 2015 was successfully organized during 15-26 February 2016 at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) with joint collaboration from Universiti Teknology Malaysia (UTM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The total 18 selected faculty staff, which were under 35 years of age, from JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net Member Institutions (MI) attended the whole course, which mainly consisted of Intellectual Property, Innovation, Marketing, Industrial Visit, and Industrial Forum. At the end of the course, the participants were asked to deliver a presentation about themselves, their universities and departments, their impression, and most importantly their lessons learned. The participants, who held bachelor degree, master degree or doctoral degree as their highest academic degree, were from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The objective of the training is to enhance knowledge and capacity in making a collaboration with the industrial sector through research activities and to initiate awareness of the importance of MOT and how it could enhance academic curricular among members of the network.
