On 22 February – 7 March 2015, the Intensive Training on Promotion for University – Industry Linkage (U-I Training) for JFY 2014 was held in Toyohashi and Nagoya, Japan, with the kind cooperation from Toyohashi University of Technology and JICA Chubu International Center. Twelve participants from 12 Member Institutions in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam were invited to join the 2-week program which aims to share knowledge and case studies of how to organize and formulate effective and efficient U-I linkage activities. The activities consisted of lectures and site visits to universities, private companies and government organizations who have U-I-G linkage in Toyohashi and Aichi prefecture. The training is conducted in the Training-of-Trainers (TOT) manner, and each participant must conduct a second training at their MI to share the knowledge they gained from this course.
