The 9 th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Geological and Geo-Resource Engineering on 28-29 July 2016 was organized by Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand under the theme “ASEAN++2016 Towards Geo-resources Education in ASEAN Economic Community”. The conference was also jointly convened with the 12 th International Conference on Mining, Materials and Petroleum Engineering and the 9 th International Conference on Earth Resources Technology. Around 250 participants from Member institutions in ASEAN and Japan including from universities, organizations and private sectors in Thailand, Korea, Germany, etc. attended the event. The keynote and parallel sessions attracted a number of audiences with interesting presentations, fruitful discussions and knowledge sharing. In this regards, the 5 th Field Management Meeting (FMM) was also held to discuss the operation and future direction of field activities.
The participants of FMM were representatives of ASEAN Host Institutions, Japanese Field Supporting Universities and AUN/SEED-Net Secretariat. The 10 th Regional Conference on Geological and Geo-Resources Engineering in 2017 will be hosted by Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
