GAICCE’s Pathway to Success of CEP

On July 3, 2019, Prof. Dr. UEDA, Chief Advisor/Acting Executive Director of AUN/SEED-Net attended CEP meeting on GAICCE project at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peerayuth Charnsethikul, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University. Followed by a presentation from ICE-Matter coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchatee Techapiesancharoenkij, on the introduction of the consortium and its current progress.
On March 6, 2019, another monitoring visit for AUN/SEED-Net scholars was held at International Studies Center, Kasetsart University (KU). The Secretariat representatives were warmly welcomed by 3 new scholars, 2 current scholars, and 6 faculty staff who attended the sessions.
AUN/SEED-Net has recently established a unique collaboration with LEAVE A NEST CO. LTD., a company with a vast collaborative network of 100+ companies, 2,000+ teachers and 10,000+ researchers. Their primary mission is to solve global issues through science education, resource training and research development projects by bridging the gap between researchers and companies.
The university monitoring visit is conducted annually in all Host Institutions in ASEAN, in which KMILT is one of them. The main objectives are to meet current and new students as well as their advisors and faculty staff to update students’ study progress, share information from AUN/SEED-Net programs, and to facilitate the study of students and research of advisors.

On January 12, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uma Seeboonruang, Dr. Varesa Chuwattanakul, and Ms. Tharinee Lumyong visited JICA Project Office for AUN/SEED-Net to discuss on possibility to increase number of AUN/SEED-Net scholars at KMITL.
The highlight of the meeting was an introduction of a draft of Cooperative Framework, which is an official document to commence in next phase.
