On August 26-30, 2019, Prof. Ueda Tamon, Chief Advisor and Acting Executive Director and the dispatched team visited Surabaya, Indonesia to have a meeting with the Department of Environmental Engineering at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) on Collaborative Education Program or CEP and attend the 12th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering 2019 (RC EEE 2019) hosted by ITS at JW Marriott Hotel.
At ITS, Prof. Ueda had very fruitful discussions and exchanged progress updates with Asst. Prof. Adhi Yuniarto on “CEP-SEEN”. This CEP project aims to produce knowledgeable human capital in order to move forward toward the advancement and development of technologies while safeguarding the environment. As a consortium member of CEP-SEEN, ITS is now offering a joint educational program for doctoral and master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Main study period will take place at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and while the research attachment program will take place at University of Tsukuba, Japan and ITS, respectively.
RC EEE 2019 was jointly organized with the 2019 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA 2019). The total number of paper submissions to ISITIA 2019 and RC EEE 2019 was 160 with authors from 13 different countries including ASEAN countries. The organizer accepted 84 papers for presentation at ISITIA and 24 at RC EEE. The papers featured various topics such as power systems, telecommunications, electronics, control systems, biomedical engineering, and intelligent systems. The conference delivered constructive discussions and marked a remarkable footstep toward the success of Electrical and Electronics Engineering advancement in the future.
We recognize and appreciate ITS’s active involvement in many AUN/SEED-Net programs, without their strong effort and enthusiastic participation, this conference could not be materialized.
In addition, ITS will also host another AUN/SEED-Net conference, the 12th Regional Conference on Energy Engineering 2019 (RC EneE 2019) on November 12-14, 2019 at El Royale Hotel, Banyuwangi, Indonesia. AUN/SEED-Net would like to take this opportunity to invite all interested engineering scholars, researchers, and students to submit full papers and attend the conference.
