On January 23-24, 2017, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (KMITL) successfully organized the 9th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Environmental Engineering at The Zign Hotel, Pattaya, Chonburi, in conjunction with the 4th EIT International Conference on Water Resources Engineering and the 7th National Conference on Water Resources Engineering.
The conference attracted lot of participants including the participants from the network, including, from leading universities in ASEAN and from supporting universities in Japan. The Secretariat team was also in attendance. The meeting was kicked off by leading speaker from the academia who gave an interesting multidisciplinary lecture under the theme of “Development for Sustainable Global Environments and Water Resources”. Then, it was followed by lot of marvelous presentations, insight into the field of Environmental Engineering while also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among regional community, Japan, and beyond.
During the Regional Conference, not only academic research and network were presented and strengthened, but the future and sustainability of the AUN/SEED-Net project was also discussed with Field Management Members of Environmental Engineering.
Regional Conference of AUN/SEED-Net is an annual academic event for researchers and students to share research findings with other professionals in ASEAN as well as Japan. Not only does it open the door to those who are seeking opportunities to disseminate their research and fine-tune by feedback from other participants, but Regional Conference also helps them find new horizon of their research theme and widen their professional network in Environmental Engineering.
The 10th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Environmental Engineering will be held by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Hanoi, Vietnam. The date will be announced in by May 2017. We wish to see you at the next conference in Hanoi!
