The 12th Regional Conference in Civil Engineering (RCCE) 2019 was successfully organized in conjunction with the 4thInternational Conference on Construction and Building Engineering (ICONBUILD) during August 20-22, 2019 in Langkawi, Malaysia. This event would not have been a success without the hard work of the dedicated organizing committee from UTM – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
At this time of the year, when there are a number of academic conferences happening at the same time elsewhere, it is considered a huge success that this ICONBUILD & RCCE joint conference managed to receive more than 100 research papers from authors from countries around the world especially ASEAN member countries. On top of that, six keynote speeches were also delivered at the conference by professors and experienced researchers from leading universities and research institutes.
This joint conference proved to be a truly crucial platform to strengthen a learning environment, to share the latest research findings, to disseminate the most updated technology in the field of civil engineering, specifically in “Innovation and Sustainability – A Way Forward in Construction” and to network with other researchers from various fields and organizations.
