The 13th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Energy Engineering (RCEneE) was held in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Smart City Innovation (ICSCI), with the Dwelling Form (iDwell) successfully completed online during October 27–28, 2020 by Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Udayana. AUN/SEED-Net is pleased to share this significant part of its history.
- As the first AUN/SEED-Net conference of 2020, it is online for the first time ever.
With the global pandemic, the organizers faced difficulties in arranging the event on-site. However, this did not prevent the team from making it happen.
- AUN/SEED-Net is strengthening the network, expanding throughout the ASEAN and beyond, with participants from all over the world.
Around 200 participants, including the keynote speakers form RCEneE – ICSCI & iDwell, joined the event online from ASEAN member states, Japan, America, Australia, Egypt, and the Netherlands. Substantial discussions took place via the Webinar, with further email correspondence after the conference. The event provided a good opportunity to share ideas, perspectives, and establish further research cooperation for the development of sustainable energy.
- Qualified papers in engineering for knowledge sharing and development in science and technology.
More than 100 qualifying papers and extended abstracts were received for the joint conference and these will be published in Scopus indexed journals and proceedings.
- Interdisciplinary topics aligning global issues.
We hope the event has helped to bring us closer to reaching Sustainable Development Goals regarding affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, and partnerships.
