In 2018, Collaborative Education was initiated as a new program through the partnership among academic institutions and industry, it is anticipated that networking and collaboration that AUN/SEED-Net has built up for more than 15 years will be sustained and enhanced.

Interested member institutions are requested to form a partnership via university consortium, which consists of 4 types of members. Each type is expected to utilize their own expertise in performing different roles in the consortium in order to deliver common outputs.

Funded by AUN/SEED-Net, applying consortiums are empowered to design, to formulate, and to implement their own activities in order to achieve the common outputs. This is to ensure that the outputs truly fit and mutually benefit all the members.

Program Objectives:

CEP is designed to serve the 4 primary purposes of AUN/SEED-Net:

  • To enhance education and research capacities of Member Institutions (MIs) through their collaboration among ASEAN and Japanese academia
  • To strengthen industrial relations and applications
  • To address developmental issues in ASEAN
  • To improve the quality of higher education through the expansion of ASEAN academic networks
