On November 25th, 2016, the monitoring visit for Chulalongkorn University was held at Room 209, 2nd floor, 3rd Building, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. There were 21 of 2016 intake students, 20 current students and 16 faculty staffs attended the sessions.
During the visit, Program Officers Ms. Kunaporn Phuntunil and Ms. Narissara Siangsansern presented in both students and advisors sessions about the updated rules and regulations of AUN/SEED-Net, financial regulation and guidelines, as well as safety conduct in emergency time.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, AUN/SEED-Net Assistant Executive Director led the discussion on students’ experiences, as well as concerns about their academic and social lives during their studies. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasem suggested finding a balance between academic achievement and social life by planning ahead and managing schedules effectively. He and the students also proposed establishing a students’ network as a mean to contact each other and foster good relations in the future. This led to an appointment of a leader from each country to act as their main contact person.
The university monitoring visits are conducted annually in all Host Institutions in ASEAN. The main objectives are to meet students and their advisors and faculty staff to update students’ study progress, share information from AUN/SEED-Net programs, and to facilitate the study of students and research of advisors.
