
The intensive Management of Technology (MOT) training for Japanese Fiscal Year (JFY) 2016 was successfully organized during 1-12 August 2016 at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) with joint collaboration from Universiti Teknology Malaysia (UTM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The total 19 selected faculty staff of JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net Member Institutions (MI), whose age was under 35 years old with mix of highest degrees ranging from master degree to doctoral degree and diverse countries; Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, attended MOT. The course mainly comprised Intellectual Property, Innovation, Marketing, Industrial Visit, and Industrial Forum. The objective of the training was to enhance knowledge and capacity in making a collaboration with the industrial sector through research activities and to initiate awareness of the importance of MOT and how it could enhance academic curricular among members of the network. MOT was also further considered as a platform to strengthen the academic network within ASEAN and beyond.
