On May 10, 2019, the GAICCE project’s contract signing ceremony and kick-off meeting was held at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand with the participation from all consortium members.

GAICCE, a project which is funded by JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net under Collaborative Education Program (CEP), aims to establish a sustainable ASEAN-Japan academic and industry network by implementing various educational collaborations in Materials engineering. GAICCE’s activities include double degree program scholarship in Materials Engineering, international internship with industrial partners, new double degree program curriculum development, research grant, lecturer and student exchange program and many more.

The consortium partnership consists of 5 partners from 4 countries:

  1. Chulalongkorn University (CU), Thailand
  2. Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam
  3. Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia
  4. Nagaoka University, Japan
  5. Takasago Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd. in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan

CEP “GAICCE” will receive the amount of 449,995 USD AUN/SEED-Net funding support for the project duration of 45 months. During the kick-off meeting, all partners agreed and committed to implement the mentioned activities by December 2022. The consortium managed by CU and each consortium member will be tasked according to their expertise and agreement.
