On March 11, 2016, AUN/SEED-Net team members attended the Joint Review Committee (JRC) Meeting held at National University of Laos (NUOL), Vientiane, Lao PDR. Delegates from NUOL, Ministry of Education and Sports of Lao PDR, JICA Laos Office and Embassy of Japan in Vientiane participated in the meeting where issues of how to increase successful rate of scholarship applicants, promotion of research grants, job opportunity of AUN/SEED-Net scholars and the establishment of the University of Technology were discussed extensively among participants along with the focus on future program activities of AUN/SEED-Net Post Phase 3. The meeting yielded constructive outcomes which AUN/SEED-Net would take into account for its future program design, aiming to underscore the very needs of NUOL and Lao PDR as a whole. The Joint Review Committee Meeting is scheduled annually to review progress of program implementation as well as to discuss with related stakeholders the challenges and issues to be addressed in order to improve program implementation.
