On December 16-17, 2019, International Scientific Forum (ISF) 2019 was organized in conjunction with Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC) 10th Anniversary. In this occasion, ASEAN delegates from JACEP, Japan-ASEAN Collaborative Education Program (CEP), spearheaded by University of Malaya (UM) were also invited under the support from AUN/SEED-Net’s Collaborative Education Program (CEP) to present their research papers in the forum and participated in the workshop.
This event marked the first milestone towards the achievement of one of the four expected outputs of the consortium that is “To organize three workshops as a platform for the exchange of research experience between University A, University B and University C”. During this event, JACEP consortium members had opportunities to share their recent research findings in the field of renewable energy, to publish their papers in an ISI indexed journal and to strengthen their networks with researchers from other universities. In addition, this gathering provided the consortium members with an opportunity to arrange their first periodic meeting to discuss about the consortium’s work of progress, detailed activity plan for 2020 and the initiatives to promote sustainability of the program.
After a three-hour discussion with JACEP consortium’s members, we, AUN/SEED-Net, are assured that, with active participation and continuous contribution from the members, JACEP will certainly bring about the success to the program. Last but not least, we are much looking forward to seeing the next milestones being reached in years to come.
