On 26 August 2016, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Md Din Mohd Fadhil, Dr. Mat Taib Shazwin, Dr. Yong Ee Ling, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chelliapan Shreeshivadasan from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) visited AUN/SEED-Net Secretariat Office.
AUN/SEED-Net warmly welcomed the guests, then, conducted a short interview on Collaborative Research on Common Regional Issues (CRC) with Dr. Fadhil (awarded in 2015) and Dr. Shreeshivadasan (awarded in 2016).
This visit is an incidental product of Short-term Visit Program in ASEAN. The group was awarded for the trip from 24-31 August 2016 to visit two connected destinations namely: Chulalongkorn University (CU), and National University of Laos (NUOL). The purpose of the trip is to identify the suitable technology to treat fluorocarbons refrigerants from waste electrical and electronics equipment (WEEE) in ASEAN.
Apart from visiting AUN/SEED-Net, the awarded group also utilized the trip to boost research collaboration in environmental engineering field by meeting with the new faces and to strengthen sustainability of academic network through continuous collaboration among AUN/SEED-Net Member Institutions and beyond.
