The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering of Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully organized the 15th Regional Conference on Energy Engineering (RCEneE) and the 13th International Conference on Thermofluids (Thermofluid) from October 25–26, 2022, at Amaranta Prambanan Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This joint hybrid international conference attracted more than 80 onsite and 60 online participants from the ASEAN, Japan, Africa, and beyond. This two-day conference enhanced the scope and knowledge sharing of a broader community of researchers. It contributed to the continuous development of research and technology in thermofluid engineering for recent and future energy, along with environmental sustainability. The keynote speakers consisted of academia from Asia and Europe, and representatives from research and technology innovation at a well-known state-owned enterprise in Indonesia, exchanging views on the current situation and industry trends. Moreover, the onsite event allowed lecturers, students, and colleagues to meet in person to network, strengthen connections, and discuss possible future collaborations.

The AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference has provided a platform for exchanging current engineering knowledge among Member Institutions and beyond for almost two decades.
