Abstract:

Waste plastics are abundant and polluting the environment. They can be pyrolized to produce oil for alternative fuel. Heat is required for this pyrolisis. The amount and quality of yielded oil can be enhanced with the help of catalysts. The duration can be reduced as well. One kind of catalyst is natural zeolite which is abundantly and cheaply available. The research tried to find out the best temperature and plastics waste composition. The oil is then experimentally burned in a stove and a diesel engine after being mixed with a conventional fuel. More papers and topics for students’ final projects were enhanced More people know that plastic wastes can also be recycled to produce alternative oil by pyrolysis process. The oil can be sold to improve the economical life of waste scavengers.
