Congratulations on the successful Regional Conference EEE 2018 by Universiti Sains Malaysia!
Around 100 participants from Member institutions in ASEAN and Japan as well as researchers from universities in the region and experts from private sector attended the conference at St. Giles Wembley Hotel, Penang, Malaysia during 14-15 August 2018. The 11th Regional Conference on Electrical and Electronics (EEE) is a joint event with the 10th ROVISP 2018 on the theme “Enabling Research & Innovation towards Sustainability”, organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The plenary session was kicked off by interesting lectures from leading speakers in academia and industry who contributed to knowledge sharing in the field of EEE, then followed by various technical sessions for participants to present their researches. These technical sessions served as a platform for fruitful discussion, sharing knowledge and experience in the field, and foster the regional network among participants.
In parallel, the Field Management Members meeting was held to discuss the future direction of EEE field activities. The new programs which are planned to be executed in the upcoming years are also introduced to FMM and member institutions. On the last day, the participants had a field trip to Penang Skills Development Centre where the participants enjoyed presentation from a resource person and facility visit.
