Monitoring Visit to NTU and NUS

On 2nd February 2016 AUN/SEED-Net secretariat; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, Assistant Executive Director, Mr. TAKASHIMA Jun, Unit Chief and Ms. Vituta Silakhum, Program Office visited Singapore Universities to conduct monitoring session. The secretariat visited NTU from 09.00 -11.30 AM and NUS from 1.00 -15.30 PM to meet with students, faculty staffs and advisors. The report from progress report and study plans of both universities showed that students perform the study on schedule. Student?s academic performance is satisfactory to advisors of both universities. In the same occasion, AUN/SEED-Net took the opportunity to discuss with NTU and NUS key person upon the topic of Post-Phase III, and way forwards. The discussion went productively. However the discussion on the application of Doctoral Degree Program in Singapore Japanese Fiscal Year 2016 also raised, since the deadline of application submission is due on 31st January, 2016. The result of the scholarship award is expected to be in May 2016, while next monitoring visit is estimated to be organized in early 2017.
