Abstract:

SCDM can reinforce earth levees utilizing the in situ soils with only additional ordinary cement to create a new material, soilcrete, having 10-100 times higher strength than the in situ soils. Soilcrete walls inside an earth levee can tolerate flood water and sliding effectively and sustainably. The SCDM expects to help local people to reinforce earth levees massively in the Mekong Delta Vietnam after the research has done well. connect to industry and community to create new values such as collaboration, publication, and long term cooperation Students worked closely with the research team achieving their ultimate goals: graduation, skills, and knowledge The community has a new useful technique to reinforce earth levees in the Mekong Delta
