Following an overwhelming number of applications for the Special Program for Research against COVID-19 (SPRAC), it is time to announce the good news!
JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net has received a total of 61 applications from nearly all Member Institutions (MIs). Each application features a collaborative research proposal in novel engineering and interdisciplinary ideas, methods, tools, and technologies that exhibit potential contribution to counter the COVID-19 outbreak, including prevention and preparation for future outbreaks.
All entries have been reviewed by a panel of experts based on the core criteria, which require successful proposals to incorporate not only interesting and feasible ideas relevant to COVID-19, but also great potentials to create impact to society.
The decision was truly tough! Hence, we decided to increase the number of awards from 5 to 35!!
Congratulations to all 35 awardees as listed in the picture below. Each successful applicant will be receiving USD 50,000 maximum fund for their research projects conducted between October 15, 2020 and December 15, 2021.
Remarks: Successful applicants will soon be contacted by the Secretariat for necessary budget adjustment.
