Abstract

The basic target of intellectual home automation system is to provide people a comfortable, safe, convenient and high efficient life environment and a humanistic service. Smarter homes allow consumers to save money, be more environmentally aware, feel more secure and enjoy a variety of conveniences that make homes easier and less expensive to maintain. To this end, ZigBee wireless intellectualized home system is one of the possible ways to implement the future home energy management and home automation service based on IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee wireless telecommunication technology. Due to the fact that, IEEE 802.15.4 was designed to address the need for a low-cost, low-power wireless standard optimized for monitoring and control applications. While similar to other low power wireless standards, features such as fast power-on latency and mesh networking help differentiate it from the field of other existing IEEE technologies. This issue makes interesting for research topic to study and make an experiment about feasibility of further realistic implementation.
